On the 11th of August 2020, Shadow World Investigations (“SWI”) and Open Secrets submitted a complaint to the Chairperson of the Judicial Conduct Committee (of the Judicial Service Commission) in terms of Section 14 of the Judicial Services Act 9 of 1994, regarding the conduct of Judge Willie Seriti and Judge Hendrick Mmolli Thekiso Musi in the Commission of Inquiry into the 1999 “Arms Deal”
After receiving no response or updates regarding our complaint, we wrote to the commission on the 10th of February to request an update on our complaint. We received no response to the letter or an update on the Complaint. We are now writing again to the commission, to implore them to respond to our complaint and letters given the revelations at the State Capture Inquiry regarding the judiciary.
