Recommendations to the Zondo Commission on Accountability for State Capture

The joint submission by Open Secrets and Shadow World Investigations to the Commission of Inquiry into State Capture. The recommendations outlined in the submission are made based on the crucial role that corporations played in the capture and looting of state institutions. In making these recommendations, the overall objective is to ensure that history is not repeated; that our recommended punitive and remedial measures prevent recurrence. In addition, the recommendations aim to ensure that justice is meted out without fear or favour, in the interests of the public with the aim ofaddressing the social harm inflicted by state capture.
