DISCUSSION | Unpacking arrest with the Gupta brothers and extradition

There’s been mixed reaction to the arrest of the Gupta Brothers in Dubai. According to a statement by the country’s police the two men were being held in connection with money laundering and criminal charges in South Africa. The police say they were acting after receiving an Interpol red notice which was a request to law enforcement organisations to provisionally arrest them pending extradition.
