Open Secrets has called on Home Affairs Minister Dr. Leon Schreiber to explain why South African citizenship was granted to Christoph Huber, a Swiss national under investigation for alleged war crimes in the DRC, including resource pillage and mineral smuggling.

Real estate industry attracting ‘corrupt’ investors

The real estate industry has been identified as a sector attracting alleged corrupt investors. An Open Secrets probe has tracked R162 million in homes purchased by politically connected individuals, mainly from the Democratic Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea and Mozambique.
